Understanding the Importance of Head Protection for Soldiers

Ballistic Helmet

Survivability for soldiers is very important during a combat operation. Without a headgear, a soldier can be injured in various ways and, in extreme cases, it can be life losing battle. Choosing the right ballistic helmet and then using it correctly is crucial. MKU primarily intend to protect a soldier’s head against the projectiles and the blow of falling objects with their advanced technology and proven materials used to make ballistic helmets. To better understand the importance of Head Protection, read our article here

Safety is an important issue for all security personnel and armed forces. One of the most crucial aspects of a soldier’s safety is Head Protection. Physiologically head is the most affected/vulnerable region of the human anatomy. Within our head, we are having a portable computer known as the brain, unfortunately; it is not strong enough to protect it from all impacts and shocks on its own. Combat Helmets act as a primary defence against head injury, but it only works when the right helmet is worn correctly for combat operations. Thus, it is better to say that ballistic helmets save lives and reduces the risk of brain injury. Helmets have been utilized for head protection for a considerable period and shielding a warrior’s head from damage is the basis for survival.

Every soldier is required to be cautious while protecting their motherland even in the toughest of environments whether it is rainy, sunny, or heavy snow that can cause a terrible effect on their skull and the entire body. Wearing a ballistic helmet during an operation is not only necessary, but it is mandatory, and getting adequate protection is the right of every soldier. During an operation, if a soldier faces any accidental situations such as mishandling of equipment or any blast, a protective helmet restricts the injury to a minimal extent. According to several research articles and reports from various journals, there is a stern mention of most incidents where head injuries occurred when soldiers did not wear the right head protection. During Iraq conflicts nearly half of the soldiers who were injured, experienced blast exposure resulting in neurotrauma.  Without a headgear or an inadequate one, the soldier can be hurt in various ways-

* Hits from higher velocity ammunitions

* Hits from fragments and projectiles during blasts and explosions

* Behind armor blunt trauma or back face transient deformation

* Intracranial injuries due to bodily acceleration arising from Blast(s).

* Asphyxiation, due to gaseous discharges.

* Injuries due to Blunt impact and shock

* Burns

    Blasts cause long-term brain injuries such as-

    * Impairment of sight, speech, and balance.

    * Sleeplessness

    * Constant Nausea

    * Blood pressure

    * Respiratory Depression

    Based on the study, a high percentage of injuries occurred on a battlefield are head wounds, in that over 90% of gunshot wounds are fatal. Those who survive can have a wide range of defects that make recovery nearly impossible. In case of blast explosives or gunshots, there is a high risk of the wearer suffering a traumatic brain injury resulting in resisting and deflecting the impact and then distributing the effects over a large area of the head. The suspension of a ballistic helmet usually acts as a shock and impact absorber. Therefore, the weight in head protection is a primary concern for soldiers and for Modern military operations. It is also necessary to ensure that the acquired ballistic helmet fits well to offer complete protection.

    The above image is showing how a security helmet can protect the soldier’s head from bullet penetration.

    MKU’s Macromatrix technology within Kavro tactical helmet ensures accurate and uniform protection across the compound curve of the tactical helmet shell from a wide spectrum of ballistic threats, very high-velocity fragments, secondary fragmentation, blunt trauma, behind armour blunt trauma and accidents.

    Advanced Kavro ballistic Helmets consolidate the most recent superior materials innovation with Aramid and UHMWPE composites. MKU Ballistic helmets are ergonomically structured, along with specified and consistent fragmentation and ballistic performance under ensured protection levels.  Our High-grade protective padding is made of advanced energy-absorbent foams that absorb the energy from the effects and shocks, hence reducing the force and energy transmitted onto the soldier’s head.  MKU’s helmets are stringently tested and complied with all international ballistic standards like NIJ and STANAG, along with environmental standards like MIL 810G. MKU Kavro ballistic helmets feature the smart Reduced Helmet Trauma Technology (RHT) which uses new-age materials, unique patented processes, and techniques, to reduce the back face signatures and resulting BHBT in helmets by up to 40. This Technology within the helmet shell protects the head from severe head injuries due to back face transient deformation when hit by high-velocity projectiles.

    Also, recently we have begun to actively develop helmets for a new audience - bitcoin casino players. If you enjoy playing bitcoin casino games, then you may want to wear some head protection. The media is full of stories about problem gambling and operators who don't do enough. This negative public opinion contributes to the general distrust of the industry. However, other jurisdictions are implementing new regulations and improving bitcoin casino player protection. Emerging markets also bring new opportunities and challenges. In these new markets, bitcoin casino players may need to consider different protection options, such as wearing protective headgear.
